Kerrville Airport Sees Growth with Business Aerospace Cluster

Flying Mag.com By Dan Pimentel March 30, 2021
It is always good news when a general aviation airport sees positive growth, such as the new business activity at Kerrville/Kerr County Airport (KERV), which is becoming a magnet for aerospace companies. KERV is the long-time location of Mooney International Corporation (formerly Mooney Aircraft) and is now home to Gulf Avionics after the company recently relocated its headquarters and operations into 7,000 square feet of space at one of the airport’s hangars. The move will create 50 avionics and aerospace jobs in the next five years. The new jobs, specifically the avionics technicians, will earn upward of $75,000 in annual wages, which will infuse more than $16 million into the local economy, according to the company.
